Public & Regulatory Law News Update - January 2011
 
Edward Pitt is on the Law Society's EU Committee and recently chaired a meeting at the Law Society's Hall to bring together the views of the bar, in-house lawyers' groups and others on the EU Commission's proposals for a European contract law, including a so-called "EU Optional Instrument" which would set out a standard EU contract law. The Commission's first consultation on its proposals runs until the end January.

Stuart Marchant and Emily Talbot are representing a care home provider in an appeal to the First Tier Tribunal (Care Standards) regarding the cancellation of a care home registration.
