An increasing problem for universities is where students have been the subject of disciplinary action by a university and the university then seeks to remove the student from university accommodation. Often the student has been implicated in violence, criminality or other nuisance either in university halls of residence or on campus.

This guide presumes a student has engaged in behaviour and/or caused a nuisance on the campus or halls of residence, possibly been expelled, and refuses to vacate his/her room.
