Jennie trained at BWB, and qualified in 2006 in BWB’s Dispute Resolution Group. She handles a wide range of contentious matters for charities, regulatory bodies, commercial organisations and individuals.

Disputed probate and legacies
Jennie is completing the two-year ACTAPS Diploma for admittance to the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists in September 2009. Jennie deals with disputed probate and legacies work for charities and individuals including:
• Advising on general probate issues such as duties of executors/trustees, the validity of wills and the intestacy rules
• Dealing with a wide range of probate claims including the construction of wills and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975
• Advising charities as to ex gratia payments and cy-près schemes
• Court of Protection matters including advice regarding Statutory Wills
• Dealing with problem executors including advice relating to breach of trust and the removal of executors
